Kielder Water Sailing Club

Our Kielder Water event is hosted by Kielder Water Sailing Club (KWSC)

Camping is available on site, tents, campervans and caravans are welcome.

The first race on Saturday is at 1pm with the last race not starting after 4:30pm.
The first race on Sunday is 11am with the last race not starting after 3pm.

This location can produce some unpredictable results, with wind changes up and down the course it can catch the most seasoned windsurfer out, but it can also allow the most inexperienced to catch a gust and take the day!

Entry starts at 11am on Saturday & 9am on Sunday

Cost is £30 cash on the day

Food

Weather permitting we all enjoy some
good company and good food after a day on the water
there is a communal BBQ at this event.

We have a functioning galley for lunches and
use of cooking facilities for you.

Courses

For our seasoned racers it will be a course around the reservoir on a slightly longer course

The amatuer/junior fleet will normally do a shorter more simplified course.

Camping

Kielder is well known for the midgies,
fresh water and kielder forest make for the perfect recipe.
Make sure to bring some bug repellent.



Safety Equipment

Wetsuits are advised

All compeptitors must wear a buaoyancy aid at this venue

Every competitor must carry a SOLAS whistle, widely available
via online retailers or your local chandlery.
